the classical theory

consisting of Newtonian mechanics

and Maxwellian electromagnetism

were discovered

one after another.

Thereby it was made clear

that the classical theory

had come to a deadlock.

Namely,

they just stood

at the dawn of the era

of a new theory

coming.
